I’m Going to Try…Pilates?

A couple of weeks ago, I was contacted by The Culture Trip, a website that dedicates itself to providing the best recommendations on art, food, travel, and more for big cities around the globe. Upon completing my first piece last week, I decided to branch out from a listicle for my second and do a feature piece on a fitness studio in San Francisco, California.

We sat in a café, drinking coffees far too large for our faces, but fitting for our eyes. You gave me the bigger half of that chocolate chip cookie, too. Even in the beginning, you were a candy-cane-Christmas-morning kind of sweet. You opened the passenger door of your car on our first date, in that tan and turquoise dress, you helped me into your Xterra, and I felt the electricity exchange between our fingertips.

Birthday on Market Street

We sat in crooked wooden chairs and watched a man mumble to himself and another wipe his nose against the sleeve of his Disney themed sweatshirt. Quite a paradox seeing such a hardened man adorned with childhood characters.
